Heyer To Play Basketball at Northwestern

Isaac Heyer has signed a letter of intent to continue his basketball career at Northwestern College next year.

Heyer is a 6’2” shooting guard who had a standout four-year career for West Lyon High School. Heyer received third team all-state honors, averaging 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists in leading the Wildcats to a 19-5 record his senior year. He scored over 1,000 points during his career and earned first team all-conference, all-district and all-Northwest Iowa Review honors. Heyer was named IBCA all-state and was selected to play in the IBCA all-star game. Also a two-time all-district selection in football and state qualifier in track and field, Heyer plans to major in elementary education and special education at Northwestern. He is the son of Ryan and Jodi.

“Isaac is a tough and athletic wing player,” commented Northwestern head coach Kris Korver. “Isaac can handle the ball well and can knock down shots. He is a versatile player who loves to compete and who we feel will continue to improve over the next four years. We are excited to have Isaac join us at Northwestern College.”
