Boone, Iowa — HomeTown Ticketing is the nation’s leading digital event management platform focused on serving high schools and colleges, and is now the official digital ticketing partner of Iowa High School Athletic Association.
The IHSAA will utilize HomeTown for postseason lead-up events and select state tournament events, and it is available for schools to join and use for regular season events. HomeTown will begin ticketing at IHSAA member schools with wrestling’s sectional tournaments on Saturday, Feb. 6.
“The IHSAA is excited to move into a digital ticketing platform through our partnership with HomeTown Ticketing,” IHSAA executive director Tom Keating said. “This will allow us to provide our schools and fans a simple and direct way to purchase tickets to attend IHSAA sponsored events. Additionally, it will reduce the ticket-taking and accounting workload on our schools that host events for us.”
HomeTown has helped thousands of schools across the country prepare for and host successful events using touchless ticketing at no cost to the schools. Tickets for sectional wrestling will go on sale through IHSAA’s Tickets page (under the Resources tab) starting at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, February 3.
Ticketing in the 2021 postseason lead-up will vary by host site or participating school due to COVID-19 related safety protocols. When spectator restrictions have been applied, the IHSAA has sent HomeTown Ticketing promo codes to participating schools and host sites.
Cash payment will still be accepted at the IHSAA’s 2021 winter postseason events for spectators who are unable to access tickets via HomeTown Ticketing services. However, host schools will have HomeTown Ticketing implemented and ready for IHSAA postseason events.
