Des Moines Iowa — The 2017 IGCA All-State Basketball Teams are out. In Class 2A Ashtyn Veerbeek of Western Christian was named to the first team. Westerns Erika Feenstra earned second team honors. Sammy Blum of Rock Valley was named to the third team.
Class 3A saw the highest representation from the area. Lexi Touring of Sioux Center was nemed to the first team. Also named to the first team were Elle Ruffridge of Pocahontas Area and Payton Slaughter of Cherokee.
Jordyn Van Maanen and Jessica Harald of Sioux Center were named to the second team along with Faith and Grace Meyer of Pocahontas Area. Paityn Hagberg of Cherokee earned a spot on the team as well. Anna Brown of Spirit Lake was named to the third team. Robert Maske of Pocahontas Area was named Coach of the Year in 3A.
In Class 4A Keely Petzenhauser of Spencer and Madison Dreckman of LeMars earned spots on the second team.
