Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-District Teams are out

baseball fieldBoone Iowa — The IHSBCA has released their all district teams and the KIWA listening area is well represented. In Class 1A the War Eagle Conference sent a pair of teams to the State Tournament. Remsen St Mary’s and West Sioux are both well represented in Class 1A on the Northwest All District team. Remsen St Mary’s put 4 players on the first team. They include pitcher Jacob Wesselmann, catcher Brady Harpenau, 2b RJ Staab and utility player Connor Clark. West Sioux has 2 players on the first team pitcher Porter Hummel and catcher Justin Negaard. Central Lyon had 2 players selected outfielder Mitch Van Beek and utility player Riley Van Wyhe. Akron Westfield had 3 players named to the first team including pitcher Spenser Wardrip, outfielder Aaron Allard and utility player Caleb Colt.

2016 All-District Team Class 1A

In Class 2A Hinton, the third War Eagle member to make the State Tournament put 5 players on the Northwest All District first team. First teamers include pitcher Collin Jurgensmeier, catcher Truman Schmitt, 2b Joel Kirwan, outfielder Skyler Beller, and utility player Terrill Henrich. Okoboji had 2 first teamers. They were pitcher Matt Eckard and outfielder Bryce Peter. Sheldon’s Ross Van Kley earned a spot on the first team as a utility player.

2016 All-District Team Class 2A

In Class 3A MOC Floyd Valley put 2 players on the first team All West District. They were catcher Drew Nielsen and utility player Ben DeBoer.
