Iowa State overcame a slow start and raced away in the second half for a 107-56 win over Prairie View A@M in Ames.
The Cyclones scored 55 points in the second half.

The Cyclone backcourt of Tamin Lipsey and Keshon Gilbert was sensational. Lipsey tallied 19 points and broke the ISU record for steals in a game with eight. The previous record was seven shared by Fred Hoiberg (1991 vs. American) and Justus Thigpen (1993 vs. Kansas).
Gilbert netted 20 points, his second-straight 20-point outing, and dished out a career-high eight assists and grabbed eight boards. Curtis Jones came off the bench to lead all players in scoring with 22, drilling a career-high six treys. Iowa State shot 61.0 percent from the field to overcome a season-high 25 turnovers. The Cyclones, however, forced a season-high 29 turnovers and held PVAM to 33 percent from the field, including a 28.6 percent clip in the second period. ISU was 9-of-15 (60 pct.) from beyond the arc in the win.
