On the day Iowa retired the jersey of Caitlin Clark the Hawkeyes stunned fourth ranked USC.
Rob Brooks on the Hawkeye Network. Lucy Olsen scored 28 points and the Hawkeyes rallied from six points down in the third quarter for a 76-69 win. Olsen had 23 of her points in the second half.
The Hawkeyes raced out to a 19 point second quarter lead before USC rallied.
Despite holding USC to 8-of-32 shooting in the opening half Hawkeye coach Jan Jensen went to zone in the third quarter
It was a big win for an Iowa team that is now 5-6 in the Big Ten and 15-7 overall.
