Jensen enters her third season as head coach with six newcomers joining five returning players from a team that won 27 games and finished second in the Big Ten.
The Hawkeyes have averaged more than 29 wins per season over the past four years and are expected to open the season ranked among the nation’s top teams.
Jensen says she welcomes the high expectations.
Jensen says the program enters a new era this season, with no remaining players from Iowa’s back-to-back national runner-up teams.
Carver-Hawkeye Arena has sold out its season ticket allotment for a fourth consecutive year. Jensen says the atmosphere and support around the program continue to attract high-level recruits and transfers.
The Hawkeyes open the regular season at home on November 2nd against Towson.
