Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz Previews Nebraska

Iowa City, Iowa — The 17th ranked Iowa Hawkeyes close the regular season on Friday with a visit to Nebraska.

The Hawkeyes need a win and a Minnesota victory over Wisconsin to win the Big Ten West.

That’s Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz. At 9-2 the Hawkeyes are a win away from a seventh 10 win season under Ferentz.

After stumbling with back-to-back losses midway through the season the Hawkeyes have rebounded with three straight wins.

With quarterback Adrian Martinez sidelined with a shoulder injury Nebraska will start Logan Smothers at quarterback. Ferentz says the video crew has been searching for clips to help in the scout.

The Huskers are 3-8 after a series of heart breaking losses.
