Iowa’s Monte Pottebaum Talks About No. 4 Michigan

Iowa fullback Monte Pottebaum says the Hawkeyes don’t view Saturday’s game against fourth ranked Michigan as an opportunity for revenge.

The recent history of this series has been pretty even but the Big Ten Championship last season was not. The Wolverines raced out early and posted a 42-3 win.

Pottebaum hopes the home field will be an advantage.

The former West Lyon Wildcat part of an Iowa offense that has struggled this season. He has tuned out all of the criticism.

Iowa safety Kaevon Merriweather says the defense must limit big plays to have any chance against fourth ranked Michigan.

Merriweather says the Hawkeyes must make the Wolverines go on extended drives.

As a native of Belleville, Michigan, Merriweather says this game has a lot of meaning for him.

Iowa defensive lineman John Waggoner hopes the homefield is an advantage against fourth ranked Michigan. The Hawkeyes have won five of their last six games at home against top five ranked opponents.

Waggoner says they are using last year’s loss to Michigan as motivation.

The Iowa defense has a big challenge trying to contain Michigan running back Blake Corum, who piled up 243 yards in a win over Maryland.
