Jenness Qualifies For 2021 National Championships

Park City, Kansas — The NAIA announced its list of qualifiers for the 2021 Wrestling National Championships and Luke Jenness will represent the Raiders at this years event. The 2021 championship will be held on March 5-6 at the Hartman Arena in Park City, Kan.

Jenness, a sophomore from Primghar, Iowa, is one of 26 wrestlers to qualify in the 184-pound weight class. Jenness finished second at last weekend’s GPAC Championship and led head coach Rik Dahl’s squad with a 20-2 record, six by fall. He is ranked 12th in the latest NAIA rankings and qualifies for nationals for the second consecutive season.

To qualify for nationals, wrestlers must finish first or second in their respective weight class at the GPAC Championship or earn one of six at-large bids allocated to the conference. Preliminary brackets for this year’s championship will be released on Friday, Feb. 26.
