Jake Lynott of Hawarden, Iowa has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.
Lynott comes to the Red Raiders after a semester at Augustana College (S.D.). Lynott completed a decorated athletic career playing four sports at West Sioux High School. A four-year starter and two-year team captain, Lynott racked up 7,281 career all-purpose yards with 4,129 rushing, 1,375 receiving, 1,042 passing and 736 punt return yards to go with 49 career touchdowns for the Falcons football team. He set records through all 11-man classes in multiple categories and led his team to the playoffs in all four years, winning two district titles. Lynott capped his career with a Class A state championship and was named first team all-district in both his junior and senior seasons, adding district MVP and first team all-state as a senior. Lynott earned second team all-state as a junior and was a state qualifier in track and field and baseball. Lynott plans to major in Accounting at Northwestern and is the son of Jerrod and Wendy.
