Mulder Signs With NWC Football

Tristan Mulder (Rock Valley, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College in the fall.

Mulder is a 6’1″, 200-pound linebacker who had an outstanding three-year career playing for Western Christian High School. Mulder helped lead the Wolfpack to back-to-back playoff appearances, reaching the round of 16 in the 1A postseason as a senior. He accounted for a team-high 52 tackles and two quarterback sacks while being named to the Iowa Print Sports Writer Association (IPSWA) all-state team last fall. Mulder earned all-district honors three years and was an all-Northwest Iowa Review selection.

“Tristan is a physical linebacker with tremendous football instincts,” commented Northwestern Head Coach Matt McCarty. “He is a playmaker who can cover all parts of the field. Tristan has been coached well and is played for a strong high school program. He will be a great addition to our linebacker group and expect him to be an impact player for us.”

An honor roll student, Mulder plans to study Business at Northwestern. He is the son of Brian and Tricia.

“I chose Northwestern because of the people; the coaches, players and professors, they all made me feel welcome,” commented Mulder.
