NWC Men’s Basketball Climbs Into Top 10 In Weekly Coaches’ Poll

Northwestern College moved back into the top 10 in today’s NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Coaches’ poll announced by the national office Tuesday afternoon.

The Red Raiders have won seven straight, improving their record to 16-2 on the year and move up one spot to 10th in the Jan. 9 coaches’ poll. They are one of three teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) in the top 10, joining Briar Cliff (4) and Morningside (9), while a fourth conference team, Dakota Wesleyan, is 19th.

The top three teams remain unchanged from the last poll (Dec. 12) as Cornerstone (Mich.) continues to hold down the top spot, earning all 12 first place votes. Saint Francis (Ind.) is second, followed by Indiana East, Briar Cliff and Indiana Tech.
