Nighthawks Roll In Win Over MOC-FV

Rock Valley, Iowa — The Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley Nighthawks rolled to a 41-7 win over MOC-Floyd Valley Friday night at Nick Hulst Field in Rock Valley.

The Nighthawks got the scoring going on their second drive of the game. After Jaxon Rozeboom returned a Dutchmen punt to the 19, Cade Fisher found the endzone a couple plays later on an 8 yard run to make it 7-0 with 4:24 left in the first. On their next possession, Landyn Van Kekerix was on the receiving end of a 33-yard touchdown reception from Tanner Te Slaa to make it 14-0 with 41 seconds left in the opening frame.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley scored on the next possession when Te Slaa found Bryson Van Grootheest from 24 yards out to make it 21-o early in the second. Following a Vance Katzfey interception from an errant Carson Jager pass, BHRV capitalized on the short field with Van Kekerix running it in from 7 yards out to push the score to 27-0. On the next MOC-FV possession, Dawson Van Beek jumped the route and took the interception 50 yards for the pick-six to make it 34-0 with 6:43 to go in the first half.

In the third, BHRV took the opening drive down the field and Van Kekerix scored from 21 yards out to make it 41-0.

MOC-Floyd Valley finally got on the scoreboard with 3:10 to go in the game after Jager found Carter Aalbers for the 72 yard catch and run to make it 41-7, and that would be your final.

With the win BHRV improves to 8-0, 4-0 in the district. MOC-Floyd Valley falls to 3-5 on the year and 1-3 in district play.

Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley ends the regular season next week on the road to Bishop Heelan. MOC-Floyd Valley visits Sioux Center next week.
