Northwestern Men Receive Votes In Latest NAIA Basketball Poll

Kansas City, Missouri — The Northwestern College men’s basketball team returns to the NAIA Coaches’ Top 25 poll announced by the national office Wednesday.

Currently on an eight-game win streak, its longest since the 2017-18 season, Northwestern receives votes in the Feb.10 edition of the coaches poll. They totaled 40 points, sixth most among teams listed in that category, and join two other teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), Morningside (8) and Jamestown (21). Northwestern hosts the 21st-ranked Jimmies in a key GPAC match-up tonight.

The top seven teams are unchanged from the last coaches poll, highlighted by Indiana Wesleyan with a 26-1 record. The Wildcats received 15 of the 21 possible first place votes. LSU Shreveport is second with a 12-0 record and five first place votes, followed by William Penn, Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) and Arizona Christian.
