KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern College continues to be recognized in this week’s edition of the NAIA Women’s Basketball Coaches’ poll released by the national office Wednesday.
On a nine-game win streak heading into a Wednesday night contest against Jamestown, Northwestern received 16 votes in the Feb.10 poll. They have a 14-8 overall record and join two additional teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), Morningside (7) and Concordia (22) in the poll. The Raiders are third in the current GPAC standings at 14-5, trailing Morningside and Concordia.
Thomas More (Ky.) takes over the top spot in this week’s poll, moving three spots from the last edition, with a 20-1 record. Wayland Baptist (Texas) is second, followed by the previous No.1, Campbellsville (Ky.), Westmont (Calif.) and Marian (Ind.) rounding out the top five.
