Northwestern’s Peschon GPAC Player of the Week

Northwestern logoSioux City, Iowa – Northwestern center fielder Mitch Peschon is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Baseball Player-of-the-Week. The 5’11 senior out of Spirit Lake, Iowa, hit .500 in four GPAC games with three home runs, eight RBI, eight runs scored, and four stolen bases. He also picked up a save in game two against Nebraska Wesleyan throwing 1.2 innings and allowing two hits.

Concordia pitcher Neil Ryan is the GPAC/Hauff-Mid America Sports Baseball Pitcher-of-the-Week. Ryan, a 6’2 freshman from Grand Junction, Colorado, tossed his second shutout of the season while limiting Dordt to three hits and three walks. His nine strikeouts were a career high. He is 4-0 and leads all qualifying GPAC pitchers in ERA (0.83) and opponent batting average (.183). Ryan has not surrendered more than one earned run in any of his first five collegiate starts.
