Oleson Commits to Northwestern

Tanner Oleson, of Larchwood, has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.

Oleson is a 5’11”, 200-pound offensive/defensive lineman who played three years for West Lyon High School. Oleson registered 30 tackles, three for a loss, on defense and was part of an o-line that paved the way for an offense that totaled 4,483 yards, averaged over seven yards per play and scored 70 touchdowns last fall. Oleson earned both all-state and all-district honors and was part of a West Lyon team that reached the class 1A state semifinals with a n 11-1 record. He is the son of Kevin and Janet.

“Tanner will bring tremendous athleticism and toughness to our linebacker group,” said Northwestern head coach Matt McCarty. “He has great work ethic and understands the game well. Tanner will excel both on the field and in the classroom at Northwestern College.”
