Northwest Iowa — It’s opening night for most Iowa high school football teams Friday night and we’ll bring you double header coverage throughout the season.
On opening night the Sheldon Orabs begin the season at home against South O’Brien in a non-conference match up.
Tyler Lloyd begins his first season as head coach of the Orabs so for Sheldon it’s all about new beginnings from the top down.
When we asked about the key to a win the response came quick.
South O’Brien head coach Mark Fuhrman likes the match up against the Orabs for two reasons.
For the Wolverines the key friday night will be effort.
LA and the Coach Kent Dezeeuw bring you the coverage on KIWA AM 1550.
On KIWA FM 105.3 it’s Boyden Hull Rock Valley and Western Christian from Hesla Field in Hull.
The Nighthawks and coach Corey Brandt have a great deal of respect for the Wolfpack.
Brandt adds the similarities between the teams should make for a good contest.
Western head coach Travis Kooima feels that more than a win or loss the goal is strive for a perfect effort.
Kooima added that another big focus will be to avoid mental errors.
Pregame for both contests begins with the Radio Iowa Scouting Report at 6:05 with kick off at 7:00. We’ll stream both contests from the website at www.kiwaradio.com.
