Orange City, Iowa — Garrett Sayler has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.
Sayler is a 6’0”, 175-pound running back/defensive back who played four years for Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. Sayler accounted for over 800 yards and six touchdowns on offense for the Generals, earning first team all-district honors. On defense, Sayler totaled 40 tackles and also led the district with 317 punt return yards and one touchdown. A three-time state qualifier in wrestling who finished eighth in 2015, Sayler plans to major in Biology/Health Professions at Northwestern. He is the son of Brian and Heidi.
“We are excited to have Garrett join the Red Raider football team,” commented head Northwestern football coach Matt McCarty. “Garrett is an outstanding athlete and competitor. He will be a great addition to our secondary.”
