Sioux City, Iowa – A Sheldon native has been named a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men’s Basketball Player-of-the-Week as announced by the GPAC Tuesday, December 9th.
Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men’s basketball defensive player-of-the-week. Van Kalsbeek, a sophomore from Sheldon, was dominant on both sides of the ball last week. He piled up 17 defensive rebounds, two steals, and three blocks on the defensive end, while averaging 26.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 9.5 rebounds.
