Shorthanded Iowa State Women Fall At #20 West Virginia

With star point guard Emily Ryan sidelined by illness the Iowa State women struggled against 20th ranked West Virginia’s pressure defense. The Cyclones committed 25 turnovers in an 82-68 loss on the road. West Virginia also had 15 offensive rebounds and led by as many as 26 points in the second half.

That’s ISU coach Bill Fennelly. West Virginia took command by outscoring the Cyclones 20-3 to close the opening quarter.

Addy Brown led ISU with 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists. The Cyclones are 4-3 in the Big 12 and will have home games this week against BYU and Central Florida.
