Sioux Center, Iowa — Sioux Center posted a 13-0 home win over Sheldon Wednesday night at Open Space Park.
The Warriors opened with a pair of runs as Ross Alderman and Lane Kamerman both reached and scored.
The Warriors scored 4 in the second with the inning keyed by a two run double to left by Kamerman. In the third four more came across with Brett Scouten providing a 2 run single to left field that made it 10-0. Sioux Center finished the scoring with a 3 run fourth inning as Chris De Smit, Christian Vietor, and Scouten would reach and score to make the final 13-0.
Taylor DeJager got the win going 4 innings and giving up just 2 hits. He struck out 5 and walked 2. Max Hamill took the loss for Sheldon. Anthony Courtney went the final 4 innings.
With the win the Warriors are 8-3 on the year and 4-1 in the conference. Sheldon is 2-5 on the season and 1-3 in the Siouxland. Sioux Center is back in action Thursday night at Western Christian. Sheldon returns to action Friday at Sibley Ocheyedan.
