Coach Keizer said, “The group that started tonight really got us going by playing with a lot of energy. We were able to get out into transition early and built an 18-0 lead to start the game, all predicated off of the defense.

Our energy was outstanding all game. We had guys playing for one another and that is a lot of fun to see. I’m really happy for the group that goes against our starting group every day. They were able to gain some valuable floor experience and they deserve it, they’ve really been getting after the other guys in practice.

We had 19 offensive rebounds tonight, some of those were off of our own misses but it tells me we were hunting the ball and displaying a ton of effort in the paint.

We had 16 assists to 4 turnovers. Anytime you can have that type of ratio, you know you’re doing some good things on the offensive end.”

Up next for Western is their home opener against ELC on Tuesday, December 8th. West Sioux is on the road to Akron-Westfield
