Des Moines — The State Track and Field meet opened a three day run Thursday in Des Moines running through Saturday. Top finishes from area athletes on day one were highlighted by freshman Gable Sieperda of Central Lyon who won the state title in the boys 3200 meter run. There were a number of top five finishes as well.
