Northwest, Iowa — District track meets were held Thursday across Iowa. In Class 3A and 2A, the top two place winners in each event, plus the next eight (8) performances statewide from the qualifying meet place winners (1st-8th place) advanced to the state meet.
In Class 1A, the top place winner in each event plus the next fourteen (14) best performances statewide from qualifying meet place winners (1st – 8th place) will advance to the state meet. If there are ties, the highest qualifying meet place winner will be the qualifier.
The Orab boys qualified in the 4x800m with a time of 8:36.98, Tyler Lode qualified in the High Jump with a jump of 6′; Brandon Winkel qualified in the Long Jump with a jump of 20-7.50, Ryan Van Marel qualified in the Discus Throw with a throw of 145-10, and the 4x110m Shuttle Hurdle qualified with a time of 1:00.99.

The Orab girls qualified in 5 events. Kacy Kamphoff qualified in the 400m with a time of 1:04.20, Anessa Schoo qualified in the 3000m with a time of 12:00.03, Brynn Groff qualified in the 100m Hurdles with a time of 16.24, Ashlyn Albrecht qualified in the Girls Long Jump with a jump of 17-01.00, and Madison Zoelle qualified in the Discus with a throw of 111-01.
