Unity Christian opens State Volleyball Tournament play at 10:00 am Tuesday. With a 28-4 record the Knights drew the #7 seed and #2 seed West Delaware (40-5).
The Unity offense is led in kills by junior Gracie Schoonhoven with 291. Senior Emma Byker leads the team in assists with 287. On defense senior Jenna Bouma is the blocks leader with Schoonhoven leading the team in digs with 165.
The Knights have a team serve efficiency of 91.3 percent with 191 ace serves. Senior Kia Wassenaar is the individual leader at 93.7. Schuiteman is the ace serves leader with 47.
West Delaware state leaders include junior Alivia Schulte with 386 kills. Senior Carlee Smith has amassed 1044 assists. On defense the block leader is senior Jaci Bries with 47 while senior Ella Koloc has 458 digs on the season.
The Hawks have a team serve efficiency of 93 percent with 179 ace serves. The individual leaders are Koloc at 97.5 percent. Senior Kayla Felton leads the team in ace serves with 53.
