(KIWA Staff Photo)Northwest Iowa — Regular-season volleyball opened across the region Thursday with a pair of early-season tournaments in Sheldon and Sioux Center, featuring several ranked teams from the preseason polls.
At the Sheldon Early Bird Tournament, Cherokee entered as the top-ranked team in Class 3A, while host Sioux Center holds the No. 2 spot in Class 4A at the Sioux Center Invite. Also competing in Sioux Center No. 9 Central Lyon in Class 2A and No. 8 Boyden-Hull in Class 1A.
