Iowa State has 81 new players on the roster as Rogers begins reshaping the program. He says the team has quickly built chemistry.
Rogers says fall camp has been competitive, and freshmen who prove they’re ready will earn playing time.
A major focus, he says, is developing consistency throughout fall camp.
Rogers is not concerned with preseason projections that place Iowa State near the bottom of the Big 12.
After running Arkansas State’s no-huddle offense the last three years, quarterback Jaylen Raynor is adjusting to commanding the huddle in ISU’s pro-style attack.
Raynor has been working on the new offense since winter workouts.
He says he’s embraced a leadership role since arriving on campus.
The Cyclones open the season at home on September 5th against Southeast Missouri.
