(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following baseball player and pitcher-of-the-week for contests played April 1-7, 2019. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2018-2019 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.
Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Baseball Weekly Honors
Player – Austin Zylstra, Northwestern College (Infield)
Northwestern’s Austin Zylstra is this week’s GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports baseball player-of-the-week. Zylstra, a senior from Humboldt, Iowa, hit a team-best .481, totaling 13 hits in 27 at-bats while scoring seven runs. Zylstra belted one home run to go along with 13 RBIs and had at least one hit in all eight games. He had four multi-hit games and had at least one RBI in six of the games played.
