George Man Taken To Hospital After Matlock Area Accident

Matlock, Iowa — A George man was taken to the hospital after an accident near Matlock.

The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that on Friday, February 11, at about 6:15 p.m., 26-year-old Jema James of George was driving a 2009 Volkswagen SUV northbound on Lily Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and struck a culvert.

The Boyden Ambulance took James to Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. His injuries were termed “minor” in the report.

It says the Volkswagen sustained approximately $10,000 in damage, and the accident remains under investigation.
