Hartley, Iowa — A Hartley man escaped injury Tuesday (October 4th) evening when he struck a deer southeast of Hartley.
According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened about 6:50 Tuesday evening when a a2010 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by 64-year old Donald Harder, Jr, of Hartley was westbound on 340th Street, near White Avenue. Deputies say Harde’s SUV struck and killed a deer at that location.
Deputies estimated damage to Harder’s SUV at $10-thousand. Harder was uninjured/
