Orange City Woman Arrested In South Dakota On Sioux County Felony Warrant

Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City woman has been arrested in South Dakota on a felony warrant issued out of Sioux County.

According to court records, a warrant was issued on January 15th accusing 31-year-old Stephanie Droog of 2nd Degree Theft, a Class D Felony. Court records indicate that at approximately 8:00 am on January 14th, Droog and an accomplice allegedly took a 2007 Chevrolet Impala from a rural residence south of Orange City, without the owner’s knowledge or consent.

Sioux County authorities say Droog was arrested on that Sioux County warrant in South Dakota on Wednesday (January 22nd), and was held in the Minnehaha County Jail in Sioux Falls, where she was picked up by Sioux County deputies and transported to the Sioux County Jail.

As of noon on Thursday (January 23rd) Droog was being held in the Sioux County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
