Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Fire Company was called to East Elementary School at about 10:00 am Friday to the report of fire alarms going off in the school and the Children’s World area.
Assistant Fire Chief Brad Hindt tells KIWA that when firefighters arrived at the school they inspected the areas covered by those alarms and confirmed that there was no fire in the building.
Hindt says it was determined that there had been an equipment malfunction in the Children’s World area. He said firefighters then reset the alarms before returning to the fire station.
