Sheldon Man Arrested On Child Sex-Related Charges

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man faces felony and misdemeanor sex-related charges following his arrest Monday (May 2nd).

According to court documents, 36-year-old Leuanglong Thongvilay is charged with multiple counts of 2nd Degree Sexual Abuse, which is a Class B Felony, as well as Indecent Contact with a Child, which is an Aggravated Misdemeanor.

He is accused of sexually assaulting and inappropriately touching a child multiple times dating as far back as 2015, when the child was between 7 and 12-years-old, according to court documents.

A Preliminary Hearing in the case is scheduled for 3:00pm on Friday, May 13th, in O’Brien County Magistrate Court.
