Ashton, Iowa — The execution of a search warrant at an Ashton residence earlier this month has led to the arrest of a Sheldon woman on multiple drug-related charges.
Osceola County authorities tell KIWA that they executed a search warrant on an address on Ashton Avenue in Ashton early on the afternoon of Monday, August 3rd. Deputies say the search resulted in the discovery of a leather-type bag that allegedly contained marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia located next to mail addressed to a Sheldon woman.
As a result of the search, Osceola County authorities filed charges of Possession of Methamphetamine – 3rd Offense, a Class D Felony; Possession of Marijuana – 3rd Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor; and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor against 33-year-old Kari Buckley of Sheldon. Online court records indicate that a warrant for Buckley’s arrest was issued this past Friday, August 21st, and Jail Records show that the arrest warrant was served and Buckley taken into custody by Sheldon Police Friday afternoon and transferred to the Osceola County Jail in Sibley.
