Orange City, Iowa — A Sioux Center Police Officer was arrested by the Orange City Police Department this past weekend.
According to Orange City officers, they arrested 30-year-old Steve Sanchez Topete at about 12:25 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 1, on a charge of first-offense domestic assault-bodily injury after a report of a disturbance at the Candlelight Village Mobile Home Park in Orange City.
Topete is accused of assaulting a juvenile female at his residence.
A no-contact order has been issued against Topete with the juvenile.
Topete is an officer with the Sioux Center Police Department, having taken the oath of office on Aug. 1.
