Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help on a couple of cases.
They tell us that on Monday morning, October 2, 2023 their office investigated a report of illegal dumping that occurred along Highway 18, one mile east of Hull.
Upon further investigation, the deputy located a pile of dried cement that someone dumped along the ditch.

They’re also looking for more information about an incident near Boyden. They tell us that on Wednesday morning, October 4, they investigated a commercial vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 18, one mile west of Boyden.
They tell us 25-year-old Meghan Den Hartog of Hull was driving a 2013 Ford Edge eastbound on Highway 18 when she met a westbound pickup truck pulling a trailer. As the two met, a white plastic barrel fell from the trailer and struck the Ford.
The westbound vehicle pulling the trailer did not stop at the scene.
