Ocheyedan, Iowa — A not very funny joke turned into the arrest of an Ocheyedan man for robbery Monday afternoon in Sioux Falls.
KELO Radio reports that a man brought a revolver in a holster into a pawnshop in the 4000 block of West 41st Street Monday afternoon, pointed the weapon at the clerk and said he wanted money. The man then put the gun down and said he was only joking, then left the store.
KELO Radio says the clerk thought about it and felt there was a robbery attempt, then called the police.
The man then came back to the pawnshop and Sioux Falls Police arrested him.
Sioux Falls Police identify the individual as 31-year-old Wesley Gerald Hanson, of Ocheydan.
