Orange City, Iowa — A trio of juveniles are facing criminal charges stemming from the investigation into multiple reports of vehicles that had been taken from Orange City residences over the course of several weeks.
Orange City Police say a 14-year-old male was charged with 4 counts of Operating Without Owner’s Consent and Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License. A 13-year-old male was charged with 3 counts of Operating Without Owner’s Consent and Operating Without a Valid Driver’s License, and a 14-year-old male was also charged with one count of Operating Without Owner’s Consent.
Authorities say the names of the three are being withheld due to their ages. All three juveniles were released to their parents.
Orange City Police say each of the vehicles involved had been left unlocked with the keys in the vehicle. They urge you to remember to take your keys and lock your vehicle when you leave it.
