Wisconsin Woman Injured In Sioux Center Area Crash

Sioux Center, Iowa — A Wisconsin woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 75 and 370th Street, a half mile north of Sioux Center, late Friday afternoon.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a 2018 Kia Sportage, driven by 66-year-old Lorna Negen of Beaver Dam Wisconsin, was northbound on Highway 75 and a 2001 Suzuki Grand Vitara, driven by 29-year-old Sullyann Caraballo Irizarry, of Sheldon, was westbound on 370th Street.

Deputies say Irizarry stopped at the stop sign at Highway 75, then entered the intersection and collided with Negen’s vehicle.

Negen was transported by the Sioux Center Ambulance to Sioux Center Health for treatment of minor injuries.

The Kia sustained approximately $4,000 in damage. The Suzuki sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.

Caraballo Irizarry was cited for failing to obey stop sign and yield right of way.
