Dust-Up Leads To Arrest Of Sheldon Man On Felony Charge

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man was charged with a felony and two misdemeanors following an altercation at a Sheldon residence Friday evening.

According to court documents, 30-year-old Axel Rodriguez-Gracia, of Sheldon got into an altercation with another Sheldon man in the victim’s garage. Police say Rodriguez-Gracia was asked to leave, and did so, only to return some time later and allegedly kick-in the victim’s garage door and attempt to fight with him again.

Court documents indicate that Rodriguez-Gracia was charged with 2nd Degree Burglary, which is a Class C Felony, for allegedly illegally entering the victim’s garage. In addition, he was charged with 4th Degree Criminal Mischief, a Serious Misdemeanor, for allegedly damaging the victim’s garage door by kicking it in, as well as Misdemeanor Assault in connection with the incident.

Police report that Rodriguez-Gracia was placed under arrest and transported to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar.
