Rock Rapids, Iowa — A Rock Rapids man faces a felony charge following a traffic stop Sunday evening in Rock Rapids.
According to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office one of their deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1500 block of Harrison Avenue in Rock Rapids about 8:35 Sunday evening. According to the report, during the traffic stop the deputy allegedly observed signs of intoxication and began an investigation for OWI. Authorities say that, after administering field sobriety tests, the deputy placed the driver, 39-year-old Jose Solis of Rock Rapids under arrest. He reportedly faces charges of Felony Drunk Driving and Driving While Suspended, and was also served with an outstanding arrest warrant out of Osceola County.
Solis was taken to the Lyon County Jail following his arrest.
