Northwest Iowa — While we could see some drizzle this afternoon especially for areas west of I-29, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to start later this evening.

The areas who could see an inch of rain by Thursday evening has been shifted slightly westward as rainfall amounts have increased.

Strong, gusty southeast winds will weaken overnight. Widespread rain will spread in late tonight and throughout Wednesday, making for a poor day for outdoor activities. Severe weather threat is low. Winds will turn northwest behind a passing front on Wednesday. After Wednesday, cool dry weather is expected through the weekend.
