Sheldon, Iowa — Amongst the windy conditions on Saturday, June 4th, 483 people participated as Village Northwest Unlimited hosted it’s 17th Annual Run, Walk and Roll event on it’s campus. 165 participated in the 5K and 10K runs.
A press release from Village Northwest Unlimited tells us that a major part of the event’s successes is the support of their generous corporate sponsors. The funds raised provides services and program opportunities to individuals served by the Village.
The Run, Walk, and Roll is a major fundraising event for Village Northwest Unlimited. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the community to interact with, and support individuals with disabilities. The event provides an opportunity for everyone to interact with one another, and have a good time.
Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon is recognized on a national scale as premier provider of services to people with broad ranges of intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as those with traumatic brain injuries and those with autism spectrum disorder. The Village does this for 180 people in various programs, fulfilling it’s mission of providing Purpose, Privacy and Dignity.
