Sheldon, Iowa — The first Democrat to announce that he is running for President in 2020 is coming to Sheldon on Monday.
US Congressman John Delaney, a Democrat from Maryland, will meet with voters at Truly Scrumptious, 316 9th Street in Sheldon, at 2:30 p.m., on Monday, May 14. Judy Culligan of the O’Brien County Democrats says Delaney is making an early visit to Iowa in search of support for the 2020 caucus. She says everyone is invited.
Delaney says he is meeting with the O’Brien County Democrats in Sheldon and would love to see you there. He says that these small grassroots events “give me the opportunity to hear from Iowans about what’s important to them and talk about my vision for how we bring the country together.”
