Free Well Water Testing Available In O’Brien County

O’Brien County, Iowa — O’Brien County is providing an opporunity for private well owners and tenants in the county to have well water tested for contaminants.

Jon Hintz is O’Brien County Environmental Health Specialist, and he says the testing, which is free of charge, is being paid for through a grant.

Hintz talks about what the tests will be looking for.

He says it’s very easy for O’Brien County residents to get signed up to get your well water tested through the Iowa Private Well Program.

Hintz says once your water is tested, he’ll bring you the results and go over them with you.
