George, Iowa — Residents in George are celebrating their Annual Freedom Days from Friday, June 30th, until Monday, July 3rd.
On Friday, there will be a Pedal Tractor Pull at the Old Park. Registration for this event begins at 5:30 p.m. for children 4 to 11 years old. The Pedal Tractor Pull will begin at 5:45 p.m.
On Saturday, there will a Fun Run and Walk at the George Recreation Trail at 8 a.m. Registration is on Friday at the Locker Park Train Depot from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. The Fun Run and Walk will begin at Locker Pond. The parade is Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
On Sunday, there will be a Betterment Club Fishing Tournament. Registration will be at 1:30 p.m. at Locker Park. The tournament will start at 2 p.m. and go until 3 p.m. at Locker Park.
