Bloodmobile To Be In Sibley This Thursday

Sibley, Iowa — Your next chance to help bolster the blood supply is this Thursday, September 22nd, 2022 in Sibley.

Sioux Falls Community Blood Bank officials tell us their bloodmobile will be at the Osceola Regional Health Center from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They ask you to take some time out of your day and give the gift of life, and as they say, “the life you save may be someone you know.”

They say you can call the Osceola Regional Health Center Laboratory to make an appointment at 712-754-5358, and at this blood drive, appointments are mandatory.

Community Blood Bank executive director Ken VerSteeg tells us some things to keep in mind if you’re going to donate.

He says you can donate blood every 56 days.

The Community Blood Bank reminds us that they are the sole supplier of all blood and blood products for Osceola Regional Health Center as well as most other hospitals in our part of northwest Iowa.

No hospitals in our area, including Osceola Regional Health Center, receive any blood or blood products from the American Red Cross.
