Clay County Fair Wraps Up Sunday

Spencer, Iowa — Sunday is the ninth and final day of the 2018 Clay County Fair, which is billed as “The World’s Greatest County Fair.”

Clay County Fair CEO Jeremy Parsons says the last day at the fair is a FULL day at the fair.

There’s plenty to see and do around the fairgrounds Sunday, with a morning worship service, a 4H District Share The Fun Talent Show, Iowa State University’s mascot, Cy, will be available for a meet & greet in the 4H Building, and there will be a Gospel Celebration in the Events Center Ballroom.

You can visit Grandpa’s Barn, where you can drive a combine in the AgCab simulator, and milk a cow.

Entertainment possibilities abound, as well, Sunday at the fair. Rock-It the Robot will be strolling the grounds, you can take in an appearance b y the “World Champion Lumberjills”, see comic magician Jerry Frasier, and see “Forever Elvis, The Spirit Lives.”

And shopping opportunities are in abundance as more than 500 vendors will be on hand to sell their wares.

The 2018 Clay County Fair will wrap up with an appearance by Blood, Sweat and Tears in front of the grandstand at 6:30 Sunday evening.

The last day of the 2018 Clay County Fair is Sunday at the fairgrounds in Spencer.
